HOMBITEC RM in waxes

Vegetable- and animal-based wax-containing products, mineral waxes and chemically modified waxes, including hard waxes, in particular, are known for use in the care of wood and leather surfaces. They do not provide protection against the detrimental effects of visible (daylight and artificial light) and short-wavelength radiation (UV light), however, with the result that the surfaces of wooden furniture, leather suites and also leather clothing and accessories, etc., discolor in a relatively short time.

The HOMBITEC RM 120, RM 300 and RM 400 grades have proven excellent as additives for waxes and provide outstanding UV protection even when applied in extremely thin layers. Thanks to the differing forms of surface treatment of the ultrafine titanium dioxides, both, "warmer" and "cooler" tones, can be achieved using the various HOMBITEC RM grades.

The special organic surface treatment of HOMBITEC RM 120 permits easy incorporation by means of stirring, and therefore homogeneous dispersion in liquid melt low-viscosity products. HOMBITEC RM 300 and RM 400 are available not only in powder but also in paste form, and can thus be simply stirred in with a dissolver.
