Lithopone: Our traditional white pigment

Lithopone is a traditional Sachtleben Chemie product which is now produced in China in the context of a Joint Venture. It is a highly efficient barium-sulfate- and zinc-sulfide-based white pigment widely used in the traditional plastics sector. Sachtleben has also established Lithopone as a functional commercial extender for use in noise reduction systems. Our white pigment range is rounded off by the traditional Lithopone grades. The outstanding dispersibility of these products, particularly that of the micronized grade, is valued in particular by masterbatchers and powder-coating system producers. Lithopone's low hardness and extremely good incorporability have an especially beneficial effect on equipment service-lives and throughput. The surface quality of the finish in powder-coating systems is also significantly improved.
