Barium hydroxide: For durable stability

Thanks to their broad performance profile, PVC polymers play a highly significant role in the field of the thermoplastics. These plastics are subjected to very high thermal exposure during processing from a raw compound to a finished material. It is necessary to stabilize the polymer matrix of the plastic during this process, in order to maintain and optimize the performance of these PVC materials. Our barium hydroxide monohydrate and barium hydroxide octahydrate plastics additives are tried and proven base materials for the production of PVC stabilizers.

Barium hydroxide is used as an additive in the synthesis of phenolic resins. Phenolic-resin-based plastics long ago became established for use in the sanitary products and electricals sectors. Further industrial applications for barium hydroxide include the production of special soaps, and synthesis of oil additives.
