Hombitec RM 230 L

A special production process makes it possible to reduce the photoactivity of the titanium dioxide base significantly. Hombitec RM 230 L, a modern, transparent, ultra-fine titanium dioxide is an effective UV absorber. The extremely fine-particled titanium dioxide absorbs the high-energy short-wave spectrum of sunlight and converts it to thermal radiation.

Both the effectiveness and the transparency of the entire system are greatly dependent on the dispersion of the ultra-fine titanium dioxide in the polymer. Hombitec RM 230 L therefore has a specially adapted organic coating which assures easy incorporation and excellent dispersion of the UV filter in polyolefins and PVC. A special Sachtleben service is also the supply of corresponding masterbatches for customers.

Inorganic ultra-fine titanium dioxides such as Hombitec RM 230 L are insoluble in the most widely used polymer systems, completely excluding migration.

The excellent properties mentioned above make Hombitec RM 230 L the UV filter of choice for all applications requiring high transparency, color neutrality and effective UV protection.
