Doping of the crystal lattice significantly reduces the light-sensitivity of the titanium dioxide base. HOMBITEC RM, a modern, transparent titanium dioxide, protects the binder matrix and the substrate against harmful UV radiation. High-energy sunlight is absorbed by the extremely fine-particled titanium dioxide and converted to thermal energy; this enhances the polymer's long-term stability. And HOMBITEC RM 400 can do even more: In interiors, it protects paints and other coatings against discolouration caused by artificial light.
