Masterbatches and compounds with various pigment and extender concentrations enable the producers of expanded films and man-made fibers, for example, to incorporate extenders and pigments into their production processes in pre-dispersed form.Masterbatches and compounds for the man-made fibers industry remain Sachtleben's core business. International masterbatch and compound business for production of man-made fibers will continue to be conducted by the Business Center Fibers / Active Materials.
The Board of Management of Sachtleben Chemie has decided to withdraw from the masterbatch and compound business for the plastics industry with effect from November 1, 2002.
